Who we are!
We, hera Laborsysteme GmbH, are part of the family-owned ZECH-Unternehmensgruppe. We were founded in 1959 as a service store for TV & radios and today we are a leading manufacturer for technical furniture, laboratory instruments for bench rack integration and electrical training systems for higher education. Educational institutes and industrial companies in all parts of the world trust in our quality.
INNOVATION AND TRADITION
In 1959 our company founder Mr. Hermann Rapp was the first with the idea to build special furniture for electric professions. The furniture program EASY with the LS2000 bench rack system of hera was soon standard in German laboratories. Since then we realized countless projects and gained lots of expertise. All this knowledge was consequently used for new developments and the result of this is our highly modular PROFI system with networking device series IMOD in IoT standard. In 2006 hera started with the production of training systems for electrical professions, which enabled us to provide high-quality turnkey laboratories for colleges, universities and technical training centers.

Sheet steel processing and powder coating
Front panels and metallic housings are processed on ultra modern machinery before they get our inhouse powder coating.
Innovative Aluminium Profile Processing
The aluminium extrusions for bench legs and aluminium channels are processed on programmed muti-tool machines for highest accuracy and short process times.
Professional Electrical Installation
All our modules are professionally integrated in suitable racks and 100% tested by qualified electrical engineers.
Circuit Board - and Wire Harness Production
We have a perfectly equipped department for wire harness production and circuit board assembly.
Electronic Manufacturing
All our training systems and laboratory modules are manufactured inhouse and 100% tested on functionality and safety according to latest VDE standards.
Shipping Department
The qualified workers in our shipping department are responsible for a perfect balance between shipping volume and customer friendly end-assembly.

Functionality complying with design
Attractive product design is a very important topic for hera, but never if it compromizes functionality. Quite contrary, our policy is to make products constantly more user-friendly. This means, functionality is the main priority when developing new products or doing any redesigns, becasue we know how important it is to get your processes even more efficient.
Compatibility of product solutions
A complete laboratory system consists of a great variety of components. In order to avoid confusion when you need additional components, we consequently make sure that newly developed products are compatible to the existing system. Thus an uncomplicated upgrade of your present laboratory is always possible.
Modularity of Products
Experience shows, that we can realize most requirements with a modular combination of our standard components, but still many of our customers approach us with very specific requirements which we can easily fulfill due to lean structures and full development - and manufacturing competency in our own facility.
